Roscoe Duncan, 93

Roscoe Duncan, 93, entered into his Heavenly home on Friday, May 5, 2023.

Clarence Roscoe was born on January 22, 1930, to the late Clarence and Della McFelia Duncan in Buffalo.

At the time of his passing, he was the oldest member of Buffalo Baptist Church; retired from General Electric in Louisville; served LaRue County for eight years as a Deputy Sheriff from 1970 to 1978 and four years as Magistrate for District Three from 1978 to 1982 and recently received his 70 year pin as a Master Mason at Gavel Lodge #570 F&AM, formerly Buffalo Lodge #570 F&AM.

In addition to his parents, Roscoe was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Phyllis Sutherland Duncan; his sister, Mary Catherine Boaz and his son-in-law, Tom Coffey.

Roscoe loved his family dearly. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Coffey; three grandchildren, Staci Riggs, Traci (Steve) Weaver and Ryan (Holly) Coffey; five great-grandchildren, Bridgett (Tristen) Locke, Layla Weaver, Ty Coffey, Campbell Coffey and Ryleigh Riggs; he also leaves behind a host of family, neighbors and friends that will miss his outgoing personality, quick wit and endless stories.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Ryan Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.

Masonic services were held Tuesday with visitation continues after 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
