Students from Washington County High attended the 2023 Kentucky Senior Beta Convention. It was held in Lexington at the Central Bank Center on January 16 and 17. During the convention, members had the opportunity to attend events showcasing talents and presentations from schools across the state. Several members earned awards:

Efrain Lumus — Spanish Academic test: 4th place
Jacob Piasecki — Solo Performing Arts, Instrumentalist: 4th place
Izzy Medley — Quilling Visual Arts D1: 2nd place
Jesse McClain — Pottery Visual Arts D1: 1st place, Mixed Media Visual Arts D1: 1st place, Drawing Visual Arts D1: 1st place, Recycled Art Visual Arts D1: 2nd place

These students are qualified for the National Beta Competition in June 2023 in Louisville.
At the final general session, student and sponsor candidates are selected to serve in office for the following year. Advisor Mr. Jamal Stiles, was named the State Sponsor Elect for the next two years, taking the place of Marion County Sponsor, Jamie Brown.
