I’ve been hearing “I don’t make New Year resolutions anymore because I just end up breaking them.” I really think we all should continue to make the attempts.

If only we would get up a few minutes earlier each morning, recall at least one resolution, and attempt to pursue it that day. Sounds impossible? Maybe not.

What should be foremost in our thoughts this year is the protection and preservation of our planet which has faithfully given us life; this planet on which God has provided us with food, water, oxygen, and beauty that are all being destroyed daily through greed and indifference.

This should be one resolution for 2023 that should be faithfully kept — mainly through our conserving, reusing, and recycling.

Also, we can reduce carbon emissions into our atmosphere simply by fewer car trips.

Certainly, a happier New Year for everyone should result from these individual efforts.
